The History of AFSCME Women in Activism - Webinar 3

AFSCME has benefited from strong women leaders since a group of civil service workers organized in Wisconsin in 1932. From the very beginning, women served as local leaders, spearheaded pivotal actions and sat on the executive board of our national organization. To continue this legacy, we discuss how we’ve been inspired to act by strong women leaders in our lives, discover how AFSCME women have integrated union activism into their personal lives, and see the leadership traits needed to be effective in our activism. The guest speaker for this discussion is Secretary-Treasurer Elissa McBride.
